The Alberta Health Services Community Helpers Certificate Program provides practical skills that individuals can use in their day-to-day life. The goal is to build on individuals’ natural helping ability by providing skills and knowledge necessary to support mental health and well-being in themselves and those around them. The training focuses on prevention and early identification of mental health problems, provides training in handling crisis situations effectively and ethically, and improves interventions for those who may be at risk of suicide. You will recieve an official certificate of completion for the full 9 module course.
