HRV Testing: Heart Rate Variability Testing
Open to all students!
HRV is simply the slight fluctuation in time between heartbeats. If your heart rate is highly variable, this usually indicates your body can adapt to many kinds of changes. People with high HRV scores are usually less stressed and happier. HRV can be scientifically measured with specific devices. The Quick Coherence Technique (QCT) is a method to reduce stress and lead to better overall health. Book a time or drop-in to be tested. Testing takes about 20 minutes.
Pre-Testing Requirements:
- No heavy aerobic exercise at least one hour prior to testing.
- No coffee, tea, or other caffeinated beverage within a one- hour period prior to testing.
- No cigarettes or vaping a minimum of 30 minutes prior to testing.
- No heavy meal within 1-hour prior to testing.
Please arrive 5 minutes early for your scheduled time and check in with the admin assistant. If you are more than 5 minutes late, your spot will be given to a drop-in student as there are time constraints. If you can't make your scheduled time, please cancel so the spot is open for another student. This respects everyone's time and is greatly appreciated.
